A quiet reflection after a month of sound baths, teaching, and remembering where true steadiness lives. Hello My Fellow Sages, Now that we are a couple of months into 2026, it feels like a natural moment to pause and reflect. The beginning of a new year often arrives with energy and intentions, yet life quickly fills with movement, responsibilities, and the unexpected. At the same time, the world around us keeps moving and it can feel intense. Headlines shift quickly, opinions are loud, and it can sometimes feel like we are being pulled in many directions at once. It doesn’t take much to feel distracted, unsettled, or unsure where to place our attention. In moments like this, it becomes even more important to return inward. As I reflected over the past two months, I noticed a very familiar voice in my own head; the quiet thought that perhaps I hadn’t done enough yet this year. Maybe you know that feeling too. But when I paused and looked more closely, I realized that growth does not always look like constant forward motion; and it often unfolds very differently than the vision we first imagined. This year I’ve also had the unexpected gift of leading several private sound bath gatherings. Looking back, I realized these moments were not small. They were reminders that growth is often happening quietly, even when we think we have not done enough. In February I had the opportunity and privilege both to vacation and teach at Impression by Secrets, in Mexico on the quaint island of Isla Mujeres. Here I shared yoga, meditation, and breath practices with people from around the world. The group was wonderfully diverse... a honeymoon couple visiting from South Korea, two brothers in their twenties traveling together, physicians seeking a moment to quiet their busy minds, and others simply looking for a pause from the demands of everyday life. What always strikes me during these moments — whether in a sound bath or on a yoga mat — is how quickly people begin to settle when given permission to slow down. When the breath softens. When the mind quiets. When the body relaxes. Something shifts. In those quiet spaces — whether through breath, sound, movement, or stillness — a deeper knowing begins to emerge. It reminds me that beneath the noise of the world, there is always a quieter voice available to us. Quietly waiting for us to pause long enough to listen. Our inner wisdom. Pause. Reflect. Move Forward. The world will likely continue to move quickly. There will always be noise competing for our attention. Yet we still have a choice in how we respond.
Reflection helps us reconnect with what matters most. Action allows us to bring those values into the world. The world does not need more fear. It needs people who are willing to listen inward and then offer their gifts with authenticity and courage. A simple reset you can try today: Inhale slowly for 4 counts Repeat for a few rounds and notice what changes in your body. Sometimes the most meaningful shifts begin with something as simple as a single breath. Moments like these also remind me how powerful it can be to intentionally step away from our routines and create space for reflection. Later this year I will be hosting a Vibrant Sage retreat in Belize from November 7–12 ... an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and explore many of the practices I share through breath, movement, and sound. I will share more details soon for anyone who may feel called to join. A Quiet Invitation Before the week moves too quickly, I invite you to pause and ask yourself one simple question: What seeds have I already planted this year… and what small step forward feels right now? Growth is not always loud. Sometimes it unfolds quietly in the spaces where we pause, listen, and begin again. Thank you for being part of this thoughtful community exploring what it means to live with awareness, vitality, and purpose. With gratitude, Nancy |

Sometimes the answer was breath.Sometimes purpose. Breath and purpose have always felt like the bookends to me—breath means we are alive and able to offer our gifts to the world...
Hello Fellow Sages, Happy Spring… (ok, I know it officially started a while ago—but I’m still celebrating it 😊) There’s something about this time of year. The longer days. The warmth of the sun. The quiet return of color—from daffodils to cherry blossoms. Even here in South Florida, where we don’t experience winter in quite the same way, there’s still a shift. A soft unfolding. And it got me thinking… What if we’re not so different from those flowers? Winter is a time of quiet reflection; for...
