👉 Groundhog Day: A Day to Notice How Far You’ve Come

Hello Reader,

For years, I felt like I was living in my own version of Groundhog Day — you know, the Bill Murray movie where every day repeats.

Wake up tired.
Hit snooze.
Start the treadmill of responsibilities.

Get up. Shower. Feed the kids. Herd everyone out the door. Rush to work (hoping you didn’t spill coffee on your shirt).
Work all day.
Pick up kids.
Activities.
Dinner (sometimes pizza, sometimes survival mode).
Collapse at night… mind racing about tomorrow… only to do it all again.

Can you relate?

Maybe your version looked different.
But the feeling was the same: pressure, exhaustion, autopilot.

The Shift

My hope is that for many of us now… life feels different.

Not perfect.
Not stress-free.
But more intentional.
More on your terms.
More aligned with who you actually are — not just the roles you play.

Why I Pause on Groundhog Day

Today feels less like something to celebrate…
and more like a moment to pause and reflect.

A quiet marker in time to notice how far we’ve come.

I feel deep gratitude that I no longer live in that constant cycle of rushing, surviving, and pushing through exhaustion. Life isn’t perfect — but it feels more like mine.

This stage of life feels precious to me — almost like rediscovering parts of myself I set aside for years.
Not pretending.
Not performing.
But being.

Being authentic.
Being unapologetically me.
Being willing to choose differently when something no longer feels right.

So today, I’ll ask you the same question I ask myself:

Are you living a Groundhog Day life?

And if the answer is yes…
Does it feel comforting?
Or does it feel like a quiet nudge that something is ready to change?

Either way — awareness is where everything begins.

I’m so glad you’re here walking this path of vibrant, intentional living with me.

With gratitude and vibrancy,
Nancy

Hello Fellow Sages, Most of you know I wrote a book, The Vibrant Sage: Arousing Energy for Health and Happiness, built around five foundational pillars for vibrant living after 50: breathmovementnutritionsleeppurpose And for years, when someone asked me which pillar matters most… my answer was usually: it depends. Sometimes the answer was breath.Sometimes purpose. Breath and purpose have always felt like the bookends to me—breath means we are alive and able to offer our gifts to the world...

Hello Fellow Sages, Happy Spring… (ok, I know it officially started a while ago—but I’m still celebrating it 😊) There’s something about this time of year. The longer days. The warmth of the sun. The quiet return of color—from daffodils to cherry blossoms. Even here in South Florida, where we don’t experience winter in quite the same way, there’s still a shift. A soft unfolding. And it got me thinking… What if we’re not so different from those flowers? Winter is a time of quiet reflection; for...
